Remote House Check is a professional remote property inspection service in Spain for expats, students and everyone else who can’t be present in person.
If you are renting an apartment in Madrid and want to avoid surprises, then we will visit the property on your behalf and provide a thorough and honest house check.
During the visit, we carefully inspect the condition of the property, check for potential issues and ask all the questions you might have in Spanish, English or Dutch.
We provide a live video call so you can ask questions in real time. After the inspection, you receive clear feedback, so you can make an informed decision with confidence.

About the founder
My name is Melissa, and I’m the founder of Remote House Check. I started this service after experiencing firsthand how difficult it can be to find an apartment in Madrid when you’re not physically present.
After moving to the city myself, I realized how difficult it is to truly know the condition of a property from a distance.
Photos often hide problems, communication with landlords or agencies can be unclear, and being abroad means you don’t always have someone you trust on the ground. That’s where Remote House Check was born.
My goal is simple: to help you avoid surprises, make informed decisions, and feel confident about your home in Madrid, even when you can’t be there yourself.
